Therapy procedure

1. Ideally, a veterinary diagnosis should be provided before initiating physiotherapeutic treatment. Please also have any existing X-rays or other examination results at hand.
2. After taking the medical history and an in-depth initial examination, a treatment plan tailored to the particular needs of your dog is formulated. It also defines short and long-term goals to better control and optimize treatment progress. Following the initial examination, a short course of treatment usually takes place.
3. To support the therapy, you may also be shown a few exercises or hand movements. The cooperation of the dog owner often contributes decisively to the success of the therapy, since many exercises are only really efficient when performed daily.
4. If necessary, I also like to contact the referral veterinary clinic in order to be able to work together.
5. The scope of therapy depends entirely on the type of illness of your dog. In most cases, several treatment units are necessary to achieve success, in chronic diseases often a continuous therapy is required at regular intervals. But in some cases one to two treatments may be sufficient, especially if you like to be actively involved.
Length of treatment
Initial examination and treatment:
Follow-up treatments:
60 - 90 Min.
45 - 60 Min.
Preparation for the therapy
Your dog should not have eaten for two hours before the treatment, and he should have had an opportunity to "do his business".
Home visits
The therapy takes place at your home. This means that you do not have to make long car journeys and your four-legged friend can stay in familiar surroundings. This promotes calmness and relaxation, ideal conditions for a successful physiotherapy.
